Blakestown Community Creche
Blakestown Community Creche is a pre-school facility, catering for local children aged from 2 years 10 months to school going. We have two sessions per day, five days a week, for 50 weeks of the year. Each of our classes has eleven children and our current curriculum contains activities suitable for each child. We also have themed events for the children. Our classroom and outdoor area meet with all HSE regulations and we can even offer a large indoor play area for those rainy days. We have four qualified permanent staff and five staff that are part of the “Local Community Employment Scheme”. We are partly funded by POBAL (Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs).
Our vision is to provide a supportive, quality inclusive child centered service which will directly change the overall development of our precious children in the most important years of their lives. Parents are free to visit us at anytime. We have an open door policy for parents using the service. Our small groups allow us to give each child personal time and attention. We are community based so we can avail of other community services should a child need it. Our parent’s notice board lists a number of services and events available locally to parents and families.
Collect a form from our reception, complete it, then return it to the Creche, where you will be added to our waiting list.
When you are given a place a more comprehensive application form is completed with the Creche Manager and a fee structure compiled.
The main aim of the Creche is to promote learning through play and fun.
